The Duality of Love

My heart aches so when She’s not near.

Oh how it aches when She comes close.

  1. Congratulations on the Koestler award. Your poem drips with yearning. I have read most of Koestler’s writing which is excellent and even enjoyed the later more *esoteric* stuff. I am also a convinced supporter of the Koestler Foundation’s work which I saw was extremely helpful to many Prisoners. I am more of a consumer than a *creative* but what helps is good. .
    *The raging rocks
    With shivering shocks
    Shall break the locks
    Of Prison gates*
    (Shakespeare -Midsummer Night’s Dream Pt1)

*She smiled: Scars have the strange power to remind us that our past is real. The events that cause them can never be forgotten -can they?* (Cormac McCarthy-*The Border Trilogy*)

    She smiled!

  2. Congratulations! I guess your poem is displayed near this one:

    Pond life
    A little fish swims
    A bigger fish soon appears
    The big fish remains
