En route to my next literary stop over I come to Janet country. Foss is an old Nordic word for waterfall and Janet (originally Jennet) was said to be the queen of the fairies who lived here in a cave behind the foss. There is something about local legends like this which I think capture people’s imaginations even today. In recent years there has been a huge resurgence in the popularity of adult stories of fairies and trolls and it inspired me to attempt one myself. My story, ‘Fairies in the Top Field’, will be coming soon, in the prose section of this site. As always, feedback is welcome.
Good!
Have you written a poem called “A Walk along the Water”?
